Yvonne Todd was born in Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand in 1973 where she lives and works.
She has a Master of Fine Art with First Class Honours from Whitecliffe (2024) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Auckland (2001). Todd won the inaugural Walters Prize in 2002 and was a recipient of an Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi Laureate Award in 2019.
